Description: To assist in further reform of Canadian and other regulatory regimes, CIELAP has commissioned these Principles for a Model Law on the Safety of Products of Agricultural Biotechnology. CIELAP believes that the current applications and the system that regulates biotechnology are inappropriate. Canada needs to consider how to incorporate the precautionary principle into our regulatory system.
