Description: On May 5, 2000, the Sierra Legal Defence Fund filed a petition under Section 22 of the Auditor-General Act. The petition was filed on behalf of the Council of Canadians, the Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy, Professor E.Ann Clark of the University of Guelph and Professor Bert Christie of Prince Edward Island. The petition dealt with federal laws, regulations and policies regarding genetically modified organisms. |
